FALICON FETE L’ŒILLET

L’oeillet est la fleur emblématique de la Côte d’Azur, depuis plus de cent ans il véhicule l’image de marque de la région dans le monde entier.

Il existe un véritable culte de l’oeillet et sa culture est tout un art, car il y a autant d’oeillets dans la nature qu’il existe de couleurs sur la palette d’un peintre.

L’oeillet de Nice, dianthus caryophyllus (Dianthus, la fleur des dieux), emblème de la Ville, est exporté dans le monde entier, acheté à brassées, adulé !

L’association à un autre culte de la région ; Giuseppe Garibaldi était donc une évidence.

Ainsi Ferrante Lanari, l’alchimiste de l’œillet, qui œuvre à Cagnes-sur-Mer a créé l’oeillet Jóusé Garibaldi.

La naissance de cette fleur s’est inscrite dans les manifestations qui ont marqué, en 2007, le bicentenaire de la naissance à Nice, le 4 juillet 1807, du “Héros des Deux Mondes”. La création de ce nouvel oeillet de Nice, emblème de la ville, qui portera le nom en langue niçoise du plus célèbre des Niçois : Jóusé Garibaldi.

Les 5, 6 et 7 avril 2008 le charmant village de Falicon, tout près de Nice, organise la Fête de l’œillet, animée par divers spectacles de rues qui seront pour l’occasion entièrement décorées et fleuries par des brassées d’Œillets de Nice.

The carnation is the symbolic flower of French Riviera, for more than hundred years it conveys the brand image of the region all over the world.

There is a real worship of the carnation and the culture is a whole art, because there are so many carnations in the nature as there are colors on the palette of a painter.

The carnation of Nice, dianthus caryophyllus (Dianthus, the flower of the gods), emblem of the City, is exported all over the world.

The association in another worship of the region; Giuseppe Garibaldi was thus an evidence.

So Ferrante Lanari, the alchemist of the carnation, who works to Cagnes-sur-Mer created the carnation Jóusé Garibaldi.

The birth of this flower joined the commemorations which marked, in 2007, the bicentenary of the birth in Nice, on July 4th, 1807, of the " Hero of Both Worlds ".

The creation of this new carnation of Nice, emblem of the city, which will carry the name in language of Nice of the most famous of the Inhabitants of Nice: Jóusé Garibaldi.

On April 5th, 6th and 7th, 2008 the charming village of Falicon, right by Nice, organizes the festivities of the carnation, animated by many street shows which will be for the occasion completely decorated with flowers by armfuls of Carnations of Nice.

17e SEMI-MARATHON DE NICE LE 20 AVRIL 2008

Cette année le Semi-Marathon International de Nice se déroulera le 20 avril 2008.
Qui succédera au Kenyan Isaac Kiplagat vainqueur de l'édition 2007?
Pour cette édition 2008 : UN NOUVEAU PARCOURS.
4 courses vous sont proposées, avec le célèbre 21,1 km « l’incontournable » et le 10 km « l’alternative », mais aussi une course gratuite de 2 km pour les 9-15 ans « Défi Running Collèges », sans oublier la très appréciée course de 3 km « Tout Nice Court Contre le Cancer du Sein » dont une partie des inscriptions sera reversée à l’association Résiste 06.

RENCONTRE AVEC MICHEL FUGAIN APRES SON TRIOMPHE AU PALAIS DE LA MEDITERRANEE

Le concert de Michel Fugain samedi 22 mars 2008 a fait un triomphe. Mélant avec harmonie les nouvelles chansons et les anciennes l'artiste a conquis le coeur des niçois venu en nombre l'applaudir.

L'histoire de Michel Fugain est étroitement liée à la ville de Nice, puisqu c'est aux studios de la Victorine, où furent tournés de nombreux films dont la "Nuit Américaine" de François Truffaut, qu'il créa en 1979 son Atelier; l'« Atelier Michel Fugain », une école de music-hall qui durera trois ans. Il demontrera ainsi, outre des talents de compositeur-interprète showman, un désir de transmettre son savoir à de jeunes artistes motivés.

Aujourd'hui encore, Michel Fugain reste l'une des références dans la chanson française mélant avec bonheur tendresse, fête et volupté.

Lors d'une rencontre à "06 en SCENE" autour de la chanson française, il abordera ce soir à 20h30 salle Hermes, le métier d'auteur / compositeur aujourd'hui, les techniques d'écriture, les formations professionnelles, son parcours personnel, son expérience de l'Atelier de Nice, l'avenir pour les jeunes artistes débutants aujourd'hui...
L'échange sera illustré par la projection de 26 minutes sur la genèse du dernier album.

ALAIN BERNARD UN ANTIBOIS CHAMPION D'EUROPE DE NATATION

En 24 heures le nageur Antibois aura battu 2 records du monde du 100m nage libre en 47''50 détenu depuis huit ans par Peter Van Hoogenband et gagné le titre de champion d'Europe de la discipline.

Avec ce titre européen et surtout ce double record du monde, Alain Bernard s'est imposé comme le maître absolu de la distance reine; et ironie du sort, il a brillé dans le bassin où s'entraîne quotidiennement son prédécésseur Peter Van Hoogenband.

Il a devancé le suédois Stefan Nystrand et le Champion du Monde en titre, l'Italien Filippo Magnini.

A moins de cinq mois des Jeux de Pékin, ce résultat fait d'Alain Bernard un candidat de choix à l'or Olympique en Chine.

TIRAMISU A NOTRE FACON « LE SIECLE »

Ingrédients pour 8 personnes :

• 100g de sucre
• 4 jaunes d’œuf
• 250g de crème liquide
• 250g Mascarpone
• 8 Amaretti
• Gelée au café (pour 1 l d’eau : 100g de sucre, café lyophilisé, 6 feuilles de gélatine)
• Marsala
• Chantilly au café (250g de crème liquide, arôme café)

Mettre dans un saladier le sucre et les jaunes d’œufs. Mélanger jusqu’à l’obtention d’une crème blanche puis incorporer le mascarpone.

Monter la crème liquide en chantilly et l’incorporer délicatement à l’appareil et ajouter le Marsala.

Vous pouvez choisir différents contenants ; des verres à dégustation, des terrines en verre ou tout autre contenant plus original.

Couler la gelée au café au fond de la verrine, la laisser prendre au frais.

Mettre délicatement la crème au mascarpone dessus puis déposer l’amaretti en surface. Monter la chantilly, sucrer et aromatiser au café.

A l’aide d’une poche à douille décorer joliment votre tiramisu avec votre chantilly au café.

Pour le décor, vous devez vous faire plaisir ; cacao en poudre, grain de café, amaretti, tuile, un physalis ou autre…

Cette recette peut être vivante, tant au niveau couleur qu’au niveau du goût. Vous pouvez aussi aromatiser au chocolat, aux fruits rouge, au citron, à l’orange…
Le plus important est de prendre du plaisir pour pouvoir le faire partager avec vos amis.

Ingredients for 8 persons:

• 100g of sugar
  
• 4 egg yolks
• 250g of single cream
• 250g Mascarpone
  
• 8 Amaretti,
  
• coffee jelly (for 1 l of water: 100g of sugar, freeze-dried coffee),
  
• 6 leaves of gelatine,
  
• Marsala
  
• Coffee Chantilly (250g of single cream, aroma coffee)

Put in a large bowl, the sugar and the egg yolks.

Mix until you obtain a white cream, then incorporate the mascarpone.

Whip up the single cream in Chantilly cream and incorporate it delicately into the device and add Marsala.

You can choose various packaging; wine-tasting glasses, glass terrines or quite other more original packaging.

Pour the jelly in the coffee at the bottom of the glass, let it set at the cool.

Put delicately the cream in the mascarpone above then put down the on-surface amaretti.

Whip up the Chantilly cream, sweeten and flavor in the coffee .

For the decoration, you have to please; cocoa powder, coffee bean, amaretti, biscuit, a physalis or the other one …

This recipe can be alive, both at the color level and at the level of the taste.

You can also flavor in the chocolate, in the fruits red, in the lemon, in the orange …

The most important are to take some pleasure to be able to make it share with your friends.

M. CHRISTIAN ESTROSI : UN NOUVEAU MAIRE POUR NICE

Ce matin s'est tenu le premier Conseil Municipal depuis les élections du dimanche 16 mars 2008 qui ont vu l'élection de la liste de M. Christian ESTROSI.
Au cours de ce Conseil, M. Christian ESTROSI a été élu maire de Nice; avec lui ses adjoints ont été nommés.
Né à Nice en 1955, Christian ESTROSI a d'abord été pilote de Grand Prix Motocycliste. Elu conseiller municipal en 1983, il devient l'adjoint aux sport de Jacques MEDECIN. Président du conseil général des Alpes Maritimes depuis septembre 2003, il a quitté ses fonctions de secrétaire d'Etat Chargé de l'Outre-Mer après son élection à la Mairie de Nice.

L'hôtel West-End adresse ses félicitations au nouveau Maire.


This morning was held the first City Council since the elections of Sunday, March 16th, 2008 which saw the election of Mr. Christian ESTROSI's list.
During this council, Mr. Christian ESTROSI was elected as the mayor of Nice; with him, his assistants were nominated.
Born in Nice in 1955, Christian ESTROSI was at first pilot of Motorcycle Grand Prix. Elected local councillor in 1983, he becomes the assistant in Jacques MEDECIN's sport. president of the General council of the Alpes-Maritimes (department) since September, 2003, he left his functions of Secretary of State in Charge of Overseas after his election to the City hall of Nice.

06 EN SCENE : NICE FETE LE SPECTACLE

Le printemps est arrivé!

Comme chaque année depuis 3 ans le Conseil Général des Alpes Maritimes organise une manifestation multiculturelle : « 06 en scène » qui débutera ce week-end de Pâques pour 3 jours; les 22, 23 et 24 mars 2008, au Palais des congrès et des expositions Nice Acropolis de 13 heures à minuit.
100 spectacles gratuits seront proposés chaque après-midi autour de la danse, de la musique, du cinéma, de l’électro, du théâtre. À chacun sa manière d’aborder « 06 en scène » pour trouver dans cette programmation éclectique les spectacles correspondant à ses goûts.
En ouverture le samedi, côté cinéma, le Niçois Abdellatif Kechiche sera présent à la projection de son film 4 fois césarisé «La Graine et le mulet » ( César du meilleur film, du meilleur réalisateur, du meilleur scénario et du meilleur espoir féminin) et côté danse, les danseurs du Carnaval de Barranquilla (Colombie) offriront une initiation-démonstration de salsa suivis par les Ballets de Monte-Carlo.

Avec 40.000 visiteurs sur les trois jours en 2007, « 06 en scène » a démontré son succès.

As every year for 3 years the General Council of the Alpes-Maritimes organizes a multicultural demonstration : " 06 in stage " which will begin this weekend of Easter for 3 days; March 22nd, 23rd and 24th, 2008, in the Conference hall and exhibitions Nice Acropolis from 1 pm to midnight. 100 free entertainments will be proposed every afternoon around the dance, around the music, around the cinema, around the électro, around the theater. " 06 in stage " finds in this eclectic programming entertainments corresponding to your tastes.
At opening on Saturdays, cinema, the Inhabitant of Nice Abdellatif Kechiche will be present in the projection of his film 4 times winner of a Cesar (french Oscar)" The Seed and the mule " (Cesar of the best film, the best director, the best scenario and the best feminine hope) and dances, the dancers of the Carnival of Barranquilla (Colombia) will offer an initiation-demonstration of salsa follow-ups by the Ballets of Monte Carlo.

Dimanche 16 mars, la dernière étape de la "Course au soleil" partira de Nice pour une ultime boucle autour de la Ville après 1 230km parcourus. Nous connaîtrons le nom du vainqueur de cette épreuve qui a failli ne pas avoir lieu suite à quelques controverses entre les organisations dirigeantes du cyclisme. Mais le sport l'emporte toujours. Nous félicitons tous les parcipants.


On Sunday, March 16th, the last step of the " Race in the sun " will leave Nice for an ultimate buckle around the City after 1 230km. We shall know the name of the winner of this event which did not almost take place further to some controversies between organizations leaders of the cycling. But the sport always wins. We congratulate all the parcipants.

COUP D'ENVOI DU 66e PARIS-NICE

A 15h, le dimanche 09 mars 2008 sera donné le coup d'envoi du prologue de 4,6 km du 66e Paris-Nice; course cycliste d'importance depuis des années.
Créé en 1933, la "Course au Soleil" a permis aux plus grands champion de s'illustrer comme Jacques Anquetil, Eddy Merck, Raymond Poulidor, Sean Kelly ou plus récemment Miguel Indurain ou Laurent Jalabert.
Les 1 230km parcourus les cyclistes arriveront à Nice le dimanche 16 mars 2008 après une dernière étape de 119km.

EVENEMENT : LE RESTAURANT LE SIECLE FETE LES FEMMES

La samedi 8 mars 2008, comme chaque année, nous fêtons les femmes.

L'Hôtel West-End, sur la Promenade des Anglais et son restaurant, Le Siècle, s'associent à cette journée et offre, aujourd'hui, à toutes les femmes qui se recommanderont du Blog Azur-Nice, une coupe de champagne, lors de votre repas (déjeuner ou dîner).

A Nice l'un des symboles pour cette journée de la femme est Catherine Segurane.
elle porte en elle plusieurs images : celle de la résistance, celle de la femme-mère protectrice. Il n’est donc rien d’étonnant à ce que son aventure soit toujours célébrée de nos jours, comme une référence à l’identité niçoise.
Le 15 août1543, lors d'une attaque par les Turcs du bastion Sincaïre, une lavandière, Catherine Ségurane, galvanise les défenseurs par sa bravoure, assomme des assaillants à coups de battoir, leur arrache une bannière et les repousse au bas du rempart.

Catherine Ségurane est restée le symbole émouvant du courage des Niçoises lors de ce siège dramatique.

On Saturday, March 8th, 2008, as every year, we celebrate Women.

15 août1543, during an attack by the Turks of the bastion Sincaïre, a washerwoman, Catherine Ségurane, galvanizes defenders by his bravery, knocks out aggressors with her battledore, tears away to them a banner and pushes them away at the foot of the rampart.

Catherine Ségurane remained the moving symbol of the courage of the Inhabitants of Nice during this dramatic siege.

64e FOIRE INTERNATIONALE DE NICE

Comme chaque année au mois de mars, La Foire de Nice 2008 accueillera près de 1200 exposants représentant 16 pays et 59 départements français qui présentent toutes les tendances de la décoration et de l’ameublement d’intérieur ou d’extérieur.
Des animations et des spectacles sont prévus chaque jour, avec le jour de l'inauguration le 8 mars la participation de l’Opéra de Nice, un concert avec Priscilla, Amel Bent.
Le 9 mars, l'association des "Toques Brûlées" présentera sur la scène du podium d'animation une démonstration réalisées par des jeunes Chefs de la Côte d'Azur.
La Finale du Concours des Ecaillers de la Région PACA fera sensation avec un Speed opening d’huitres (le 17).
Des conférences, des artistes contemporains, des sorties, où l’Espace Tourisme déclinera Sport nature, artisanat et gastronomie présenteront des activités.
Le Salon de l’Immobilier du 14 au 16 mars 2008 augmentera cette 64e Foire Internationale de Nice.

Le Carnaval de Nice 2008 s'est achevé le dimanche 2 mars au soir par un merveilleux feu d'artifice.

Comme chaque année il a été précédé par une dernière parade du Roi Raminagrobis avant qu'il soit brûlé en mer.

L'an prochain le roi renaîtra de ses cendres sous les traits d'un autre personnage haut en couleur.

The Carnival of Nice 2008 ended on Sunday, March 2nd in the evening with a magnificent fireworks.

As every year it was preceded by the last parade of King Raminagrobis before he is burned in the sea.

Next year king will be raised of his ashes according to the tradition.

OUVERTURE DU MUSEE MASSENA : UN SUCCES INCONTESTABLE

A l'inauguration, le samedi 1er mars 2008, des centaines d'invités sont venus admirer le nouveau Musée Masséna; "joyau de notre patrimoine qui a retrouvé son éclat" selon l'un des invités M. Allemand.

Le succès ne s'est pas démenti à la vue de la file d'attente de chaque côté des grilles du musée.

Ainsi les 2.420m2 dont 1.800 d'exposition, les 15.000 pièces (peintures, mobilier, objets d'art,...), la bibliothèque de 45.000 documents (livres, photos, cartes, plans,...), le splendide jardin ouvrant sur la Promenade des Anglais et la ravissante petite boutique du musée sur la rue de France ont satisfait la foule nombreuse montrant que le budget de près de 10 millions d'euros avait été à la hauteur des espérances.
