Le grand ténor français Roberto ALAGNA a choisi le lyrisme de Cyrano de Bergerac pour 3 dates à l'Opéra de Monaco. Créé en 1935, l'opéra de Franco Alfano, est resté pendant longtemps oublié. Cette adaptation lyrique du célèbre texte d'Edmond de Rostand sur un livret simplifié et élagué par Henri Cain (disparition de la célèbre tirade du nez) a gardé la force du texte original.
Cette production de la scène prestigieuse de Montpellier, portée par une interprétation de Roberto Alagna, est magnifiée ici par une mise en scène et une troupe des plus attrayantes avec notamment Nathalie Manfrino en Roxane séductrice.
Une oeuvre à découvrir donc.
The French tenor Roberto ALAGNA chose the lyric of Cyrano de Bergerac for 3 dates in the Opera of Monaco.Created in 1935, the opera of Franco Alfano, forgotten for a long time. This lyric adaptation of the famous text of Edmond de Rostand on a notebook simplified by Henri Cain (disappearance of the monologue of the nose) kept the strength of the original text.
