Nice est en effervescence depuis l'ouverture du Carnaval samedi 16 février 2008.
Aux portes de Nice la splendide rade de Villefranche-sur-Mer va nous offrir un spectacle féérique d'une grande beauté; le combat Naval fleuri.
Villefranche-sur-Mer, offre aux navires un refuge naturel sûr et bien abrité; verritable havre de paix surtout depuis que les forteresses du port ne joue plus un rôle militaire comme par le passé.
Au début du XXe siècle, le président du Syndicat d’initiative de Villefranche imagina une manifestation élégante pour la clientèle haut de gamme de la cité, version nautique de la bataille de fleurs : le combat naval fleuri. En 1902, la première édition est née.
Le combat Naval Fleuri attire chaque année de plus en plus de spectateurs, Depuis plusieurs années, plus de 8 000 personnes assistent sur les quais du Port de la Santé à ce spectacle magique, d’une mer couverte de mille fleurs.

Nice is in excitement since the opening of the Carnival on Saturday. Near Nice, the magnificent natural harbour of Villefranche-sur-Mer is going to offer us a magical show; le combat Naval fleuri (the flowery naval action).
Villefranche-sur-Mer, offers to ships a safe and well sheltered natural refuge; haven of peace especially since the fortresses of the port do not play any more a military fonction as in the past.
At the beginning of the XXth century, the president of the Tourist information office of Villefranche imagined an elegant demonstration for the up-market clients of the city, the nautical version of the battle of flowers: the flowery naval action. In 1902, the first edition was born.
The Flowery naval action attracts every year more and more spectators, for several years, more than 8 000 persons attend on the quays of the Port de la Sante this magic show of a sea covered with one thousand flowers.
